St. Francis Fall and Winter Program Options
Greetings Players and Parents,
We're really excited to get you all back on-campus and back together for the Fall. This Fall we are looking forward to 3 different options. You'll see the conditioning option as a mandatory school activity, but on top of that we have 2 more options that are strongly recommended to all players. As a reminder, these additional options are there because we need our players playing against the toughest competition TOGETHER under the same staff and with our team. That is the way we can gel, build and grow as a team so when we face our mission league schedule in the Spring we are fully prepared.
For new families, due to CIF rules, we are not allowed to compete under the St. Francis name. Ronin, our club team is what we do in the Fall, Winter and Summer to stay sharp, stay with our teammates and build our game.
On-Campus at St. Francis. The administration is going to allow us to run conditioning starting September 15. We will maintain social distancing rules as well as those that the school has set forth for us. There will be 4 practices a week Monday and Tuesday 6am to 730am lifting and stick work, Thursday Evening lifting and field practice. As a bonus, special events will be held on Halloween (Costumed practice), during Thanksgiving break (Alumni Game) and in early December (Ugly Sweater Game) Covid permitting.
Players will need to go through the school's medical screening policy before stepping onto the field.
We will be competing in the Los Angeles Elite Box Lacrosse League. This is by far the best league in all of Los Angeles. With teams like Westlake, Loyola and PV as part of the league, we will be facing tough competition each week. This league is well placed to build our team for the future. Games will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at Sierra Canyon. Additional practices will be held for box players on Wednesday evenings.
A full box league with practices (on grass) this Fall! players receive a porthole jersey and shorts along with 7 weeks of box games, and 9 practices for the league. Practices are on Wednesday nights. Games are played on Saturdays with few exceptions. We have also added a tournament on 10/30-10/31
Practices: 8/30, 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27

The Ronin program is running 3 tournaments this Winter and players are encouraged to sign-up for that. As a St. Francis exclusive we plan on bringing an all-St. Francis team to the Sandstorm Tournament in Palm Springs, CA. Sandstorm is the biggest tournament in California. It is an incredible time and represents a great capstone to the Winter tournament season as well as a great kick-off to the Spring season!
The below price represents the Fall program including box AND Sandstorm
Players looking to play in the additional tournaments offered by Ronin will receive a St. Francis Discount.
If you have a financial issue, please reach out to Coach Bowers. The Ronin Program is partnered with a non-profit, Creator Sports California, that can sometimes provide assistance for sporting events.
Note: If you would like to pay by check or cash (and not pay LeagueApp Fees) please go through the registration process and do not complete payment. Then contact Coach Bowers for additional instruction. It is important that all players go through LeagueApps as it allows the coaching staff to better communicate with parents and players.
